Thousands of years ago – an inland ocean that covered Manitoba – Saskatchewan – North Dakota – Montana – smashed through a mile high wall of ice. – And with a roar of constant thunder – that could be heard for 200 miles – the water exploded into the Arctic Ocean.
So much water shot into the ocean that every ocean in the world immediately rose. – drowning the unwary – the slow – the unlucky.
Some scientists say that that this was the flood of Noah.
That was then – This is now.
Freed of the crushing weight of a mile high Everest of ice, – the land north of Lake Manitoba and Lake Winnipeg is rebounding. The land is rising. – and slowly blocking the rivers draining into Hudson Bay.
Those lakes are getting bigger.
Those lakes are coming south.
Those lakes aren’t shaped like teardrops for nothing.
Thousands of years from now, – with a roar like constant thunder that will be heard for 200 miles – that re-born inland sea covering Manitoba, – Saskatchewan, – North Dakota, and Montana will explode over the southern Continental Divide south of Fargo North Dakota. – It will scrape out the Mississippi valley – and make a new 2,000 mile long Grand Canyon right through the middle of the United States.
